Day 6 in The 21-day Affirmation Cleanse-finding your purpose

Today’s Cleansing Affirmation:

It’s two o’clock in the morning and you’re lying in bed, with your eyes wide open, trying to figure out your life. You feel as though everyone else in the world is sleeping, but not you by-golly, you’re wide awake, wondering what you should be doing with your life. You stare at the ceiling wondering, ‘What is my purpose? How do I find it? What am I here to do?’

One thing I know for sure is that we are all here for a reason. Not one of us here breathing in this air, is here by accident. I believe we are here to learn our own personal lessons in this lifetime. We came from a divine love which created us to be one of a kind, one of 6 billion. Not one of us is a carbon copy. Isn’t that so refreshing to know that there isn’t a single person on this universe who is like you? This means YOU are special, custom-made, unique, and made to perfection with every single detail of your soul, spirit and body carefully designed to add purpose to this life here on earth. It’s as if God gave us each our own unique curriculum or blueprint when he created us and our life will happen just how it is supposed to happen. It is in this blueprint that lies our life’s purpose.

Does this mean we just sit back and go on auto-pilot and let life happen to us? I do not believe so. We do have to participate. We do have to be active and aware of how our mind and our thoughts are “contributing” to our spirit, our soul. In other words, we must allow our heart to remain open and not close it down to fear with our thoughts. When we open up our heart and come from a place of love and not fear, this is when our soul can find our purpose and our true power within us.

Whether you believe it or not, everything is how it should be at every moment of our lives. You are exactly where you are supposed to be on this journey in life and to finding your purpose. Rather than looking outwards for the better job, the bigger house, the coolest car to make us “feel” that we have arrived, we must look within us and feel what our heart and soul truly desire, which isn’t anything materialistic.

We don’t need a particular college degree or special job title to reach our higher purpose. We only need to be true to ourselves and true to who we were made to be. I believe who we were made to be is the embodiment of love in all forms. By being true to who you are, you are living your purpose in every moment through every experience, situation and circumstance that you come upon. This is what I’m referring to when I talk about your curriculum or blueprint for your life here on earth. When we are truly being our authentic selves that God created us to be, and remain open to love, we can in return, give love. Through this “practice of living” is when we are in all actuality, living our life’s purpose.

Affirmations are empowering statements that help turn our emotional balance from off-balance to completely balanced. By doing affirmations you are choosing to create and become the person that you want to be and are made to be. The person who was created in that blueprint from up above.

A few ways to help keep your mind and your thoughts open to finding your purpose is through getting quiet with your spirit, meditation or prayer. It is here when we are still, that we can listen (and hear) our true selves.

So for your homework today: Write down this affirmation 5 times today. Find at least 5 minutes today to quiet your mind and open your heart. Simply listen. What do you hear? If nothing today, than try again later in your day or tomorrow or this weekend. I promise if you find quiet time with just your soul, it will speak to you…in probably more ways than one.

Children’s cleansing affirmation for today: I enjoy listening to my inner-wisdom.
