Day 13 in The 21-day Affirmation Cleanse-turning fear into love

Today’s Cleansing Affirmation:

This affirmation seems so simple…yet it is very profound. Once we get into the wonderful habit of being able to choose a different thought, when the one or ones we are thinking aren’t serving us, we know we are on our way to changing our lives.

This affirmation is so powerful for me when I have a thought, any thought, about fear. As soon as I realize the thought I was having of fear is really starting to lead me down the path of more fearful thoughts, I stop right then and there and say, “It is only a thought and a thought can be changed. I can choose a different thought.” This affirmation starts my “practice” of choosing powerful affirmations (which are thoughts too), that make me feel good, and feel love, not fear.

I really cannot emphasize enough how much this affirmation has been serving me during this 21 -day Affirmation cleanse. I have really been able to see a huge change in my way of thinking and I think even my husband is noticing a lot more of a “yes” type of person too! (See day 12’s Affirmation Cleanse about my affirmation for becoming more flexible and more of a “yes” person).

The key to this affirmation is to understand that we need to turn our thoughts of fear, into thoughts of love. I think the best way to practice this change of turning fear into love is by doing a little homework with some of our mental patterns that we need to dissolve.

Homework for today: Make a list of your fears. Now, take this opportunity to change those fears into positive affirmations. It is best if you try and keep the affirmations short and easy to remember so that when your fears pop up, you can automatically, replace it with one of your positive affirmations. You can ‘choose a different thought,’ because remember, it is ‘just a thought and a thought can be changed.’ Say your new positive affirmations outloud 5 times for each one you create so that you can really train your brain to not only remember the new affirmation…but to believe it!!

Today’s Children affirmation: I enjoy thinking positively.
